------------
Arman and I talked about creating work together for some time. We spent some time experimenting with sound and music at Arman's studio. The opportunity to perform this work in front of an audience came in 2003, when Bonita Day invited us to take part in an evening of performance art.

We saw the patterns in our creative process (we could watch them plotted before us on the computer screen) as something of a self-excited vibration. We approached the "music" in the performance like sound sculptures. Once the sound began to unfold it seemed to build upon itself. Energy produced by the sounds resonated through the entire piece.

The Green Granny video is footage of me dressed like my grandmother. She claimed to wear a white blouse and blue skirt for 33 years representing the time Jesus spent on Earth. The dancing appears jerky because of the completely random editing technique we employed.
