------------
My first camera was a Kodak Disc Camera. It was a Christmas gift from a friend of my parents. I was 13 years old and loved photography.

My Dad was a real outdoorsman. He liked hunting, fishing, and football. Always in camouflage, driving his red '67 Chevy pickup; he would bring home fish, birds, mammals, and reptiles. On this particular occasion I had some film.

The first detail is of the deer being gutted. It hangs from a wild game hoist. This image of suspended objects is a reoccurring theme in my art.

The second is of my father smiling proudly for the camera, while perched next to his kill, on the tailgate of Old Red.
